Mai Handicrafts aims to find work for neglected families by selling Vietnamese fair trade Handicraft products to local and export markets, to customers that care about a fair wage & working conditions. Mai is an income generating and educational project for disadvantaged family and its members, particularly women and children.
CRISIL currently employs around 100 people as well as providing employment for used-bottle collectors who supply the factory with glass for recycling. CRISIL has been involved in product development consultation and been given technical assistance in recent years to help the business develop.
SIPA was established in 1985 as a non-profit organisation making fair trade goods. It represents more than 60 producer groups in the southern Indian states of Andhra Pradesh Karnataka Kerala Pondicherry & Tamil Nadu. SIPA offers professional support & back up services in marketing, training, capacity-building, information sharing, management support & consultancy.
